Sant'Eufemia a Maiella

The village of Sant'Eufemia is within the Majella National Park, 900 m. above sea level between the mountains of Maiella and Morrone; it is surrounded by woods, valleys and rivers, rich in flora and fauna in a wonderful natural context. Interesting are different churches, some Palaces, the Ethnographic Museum and the rich Botanical Garden. There are naturalistic picnic areas and trails for hiking or mountain biking in the mountains of the National Park. Numerous bus connections with nearby towns. In few minutes by car you can be reached Passo San Leonardo (cross country and downhill) and Caramanico (important spa). It belongs also to Sant'Eufemia the Roccacaramanico village, a beautiful medieval village at more than 1000 m. asl, it was abandoned in the 80s but is slowly returning to life. The A25 motorway is 30', Pescara Airport at 45', the beaches of the Adriatic Sea at 60 ', Rome 120'.
