Roccacaramanico (1,100 m. asl) is a wonderful village wonderfully restored and preserved, within the Municipality of Sant Eufemia a Maiella in the province of Pescara, consists mostly of white stone houses set around a high rock and along a main central axis. In the village you can find some accommodation and food service. Known to be a very snowy winter place with an average fall of about 2-3 m for year and a peak of 10 m in 1929, thanks to the direct exposure to the cold Balkan currents with stau effect of the Maiella range behind; Its also the unofficial world record daily snowfall: December 17, 1961 in 24 hours fell 365 cm of snow.
